Villa Kunigiškiai
Private residence in the pine forest combining energy-efficient prefabricated concrete technology and Scandinavian modernist aesthetics
At the heart of Villa Kunigiškiai is the idea of dissolving architecture into the natural context. The house is located on a forested plot in the resort area of Palanga, where the verticals of ship pines dictate the rhythm of the facade.
The building is designed as a single-story volume with an accent second-level addition, which helps maintain human scale and harmony with the surrounding nature without overwhelming the landscape.

Facts
The layout divides the house into two functional parts. The public zone includes a double-height living room (30.9 m²) and kitchen-dining area, oriented to the southwest for maximum insolation. Through panoramic glazing, the interior visually flows into the covered terrace of 19.3 m², creating a unified living space. The private block consists of a master bedroom with dressing room, two children's rooms, and an office. On the second level, a mezzanine-type lounge area (30.4 m²) is organized, opening into the "double height" of the living room, which promotes visual connection between the levels.
